Craft Beer And Food Go Hand In Hand At Upcoming Cali Beer Fest

March 29, 2010

Talented chefs from the gold coast will be pairing their foods with craft beer from all around the country this Father’s Day weekend. Ojai Beverage Company, a store dedicated to fine beverage (including great craft beer), and Thirty Three Productions, Inc. have organized ‘Salute! A Festival To Celebrate Finely Crafted Beer & Food.’ The event is planned for June 19, 2010, and it just might be the best Father’s Day give you’ll ever buy for dad.

According to the organizers, the event highlights “the rapidly growing craft beer scene in the U.S.” Fifty plus breweries, such as Santa Barbara Brewing Company, Colorado’s New Belgium, Hawaii’s Kona Brewing and Samuel Adams, have been invited to showcase their amazing beers and line them up with the best cuisine the local area has to offer.

In addition to supporting domestic craft breweries, attendees will also be helping out a great local charity. FOOD Share of Ventura County, a non-profit dedicated to feeding 55,000 needy people and families, will be the recipient of 100% of net proceeds earned through ticket sales.

For those who would like to take dad on a brew and food adventure — or for those who would just like to attend themselves, tickets will run you $50 in advance or $60 after June 1. Ticket holders get a free, souvenir tasting glass and four hours of unlimited food and beer. For VIP treatment and a two-hour private reserve beer tasting, you’ll need to buy a $125 VIP Tastemaker ticket in advance — after June 1, it’ll cost you $135. Tastemakers is also limited to 500 people so get your tickets fast!
